Insurance

We accept a variety of insurance plans to help cover the cost of skilled PT and OT when you advance your neuro-muscular function using our ABRT program. However, because insurance coverage can vary, it's important for clients to contact insurance plan directly to confirm whether their insurance will authorize payment to Moving With HOPE. By doing this, clients can get detailed information on how their insurance can be used, what services are covered, and any potential out-of-pocket costs. This step helps ensure that clients are fully informed about their payment options before starting their rehabilitation journey.

FAQs

Neurological/MSK (musculoskeletal) habilitation is a specialized form of therapy designed to help individuals continue making progress after insurance coverage ends due to various barriers. Moving With HOPE helps people recover function after conditions that affect the brain, spinal cord, or nervous system. These conditions may include stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, or functional neurological disorder.

At Moving With HOPE, neurological habilitation does combine physical, and occupational therapy, but only to conduct initial evaluations and then progress reports every 10 to 15 visits. We use advanced technologies to improve movement, balance, coordination, and independence. Treatment plans are personalized and focus on helping each person regain daily skills and confidence.

Moving With HOPE is a nonprofit neuro/MSK recovery center dedicated to helping individuals with physical disabilities regain mobility, strength, and independence. Our specialized, year-round habilitation programs use advanced therapies and technology to promote neuroplasticity and functional recovery. We are committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care at an affordable price.

We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of care through continuous staff training, use of advanced habilitation equipment, and individualized care plans. Our holistic approach ensures that we address both the physical and emotional aspects of recovery.

Yes. Fall prevention is a key part of many habilitation programs, especially for older adults or individuals with neurological conditions.

Therapists focus on:

  • Improving balance and coordination
  • Strengthening muscles that support walking
  • Training safe walking and transfers
  • Identifying home safety risks

Fall prevention programs can significantly reduce injury risk and help people remain active and independent.

Our services are designed for individuals living with physical disabilities, including those recovering from neurological, orthopedic, or musculoskeletal conditions. We tailor our programs to meet the specific needs of each client.

Yes. Physical therapy is one of the most effective ways to treat balance and coordination problems caused by neurological conditions, aging, injury, or surgery. After you have made improvements with basic mobility skills like sit to stands, pivoting, standing and reaching forward using our ABRT services, you may qualify for insurances to reimburse for using OT or PT servcies.

Therapy may include:

  • Gait and walking training
  • Balance exercises
  • Strength and mobility training
  • Vestibular therapy
  • Neurological movement retraining

These treatments help reduce fall risk and restore confidence in movement.

Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) affects how the brain sends signals to the body, leading to symptoms such as tremors, weakness, walking difficulties, or movement problems.

Neurological rehabilitation can help manage FND through:

  • Movement retraining
  • Using ARC-ex neuromodulation therapy
  • Physical therapy for coordination and balance
  • Occupational therapy for daily activities
  • Mind-body therapies like adaptive yoga

These approaches focus on retraining the nervous system and improving functional movement.

Occupational therapy (OT) helps people regain the skills needed for everyday life after illness, injury, or disability.

This can include improving abilities related to:

  • Dressing and grooming
  • Cooking and household tasks
  • Returning to work or hobbies
  • Hand strength and coordination
  • Cognitive and memory skills

At Moving With HOPE, occupational therapists focus on restoring independence and improving quality of life through practical, goal-focused therapy.

Adaptive yoga is a modified form of yoga designed for people with injuries, neurological conditions, chronic illness, or limited mobility.

Unlike traditional yoga classes, adaptive yoga adjusts poses and movements using props, chairs, or support so individuals of all abilities can participate safely. At Moving With HOPE, adaptive yoga is integrated into our habilitation and rehabilitation programs to improve flexibility, balance, strength, and relaxation.

Occupational therapy helps individuals relearn daily activities that may have become difficult after injury or illness. Therapists evaluate physical abilities, coordination, strength, and cognitive skills to develop personalized strategies.

Common goals include:

  • Safely transferring or walking
  • Using adaptive tools for daily tasks
  • Improving fine motor skills
  • Managing fatigue and energy levels
  • Returning to work or hobbies

The goal is to restore independence and help individuals participate fully in daily life.
